Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux has been named to his seventh NHL All-Star Game. He will be a member of the Metropolitan division team captained by Washington’s Alex Ovechkin. Giroux is the only Flyers representative.
Giroux, the longest tenured Flyers captain in club history, has 29-points in 32-games this year. He passed Bobby Clarke for the all-time Flyers power play points leader earlier this season. He will be an unrestricted free agent at seasons end and is a candidate to be traded this season if he’s willing to waive his “no movement” clause.
