Provorov’s Streak Ends Due to COVID-19

Damn COVID-19!

The Flyers, like the rest of the world, are dealing with issues related to COVID-19 and it just cost defenseman Ivan Provorov his perfect attendance. Provorov, along with captain Claude Giroux, was placed on the Flyers/NHL COVID-19 protocol list.

Both will miss tonight’s game against Anaheim. For Provorov, this marks the first time in his six year career that he has missed a game.

Darius Slay and Chad Johnson Have a Hilarious Exchange over Madden NFL Football and Fast Food

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay is having one of his best years in the NFL. Recently named to his fourth Pro Bowl, Slay has 52-total tackles, three interceptions, one touchdown, nine passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, and one subpar Madden NFL Football ranking.

COVID-19 Outbreaks Hits the NovaCare Complex, “Dozens” of Eagles Players Test Positive

The Philadelphia Eagles have been realitvely lucky when it comes to COVID-19 and the disruption it can cause within a football organization. Well, lady luck just ran out. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo are reporting that “dozens” of Eagles players have tested positive for COVID-19 including Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, and Dallas Goedert. There’s an outside chance that they could return fo Saturday’s game against Dallas.

Pelissero notes that vaccinated players are only tested if they’re symptomatic or volunteer for testing.  The NFL has begun to test more players on Monday’s to allow the 5-day clock to start.  Once a player tests postivie they’re not tested again.  

This could all be null and void, the playoff bound Eagles are in the unique position where they might be able to sit many starters against Dallas.

Rockets without a Pair, Leading Scorer Tonight vs Sixers

The Rockets will be without Kevin Porter Jr., and Christian Wood for tonight’s game against the Sixers. Both have been suspended for one game by Houston for disciplinary purposes.

DeSean Jackson Forced to Change Cleats Honoring John Madden

DeSean Jackson chose a unique set of cleats to honor former Raiders coach John Madden but the NFL fun police wasn’t having anyone of it.

Typical NFL.

Jackson’s cleats had a quote honoring the football legend and we’re in Raiders black and silver. The former All-Pro took to Instagram to explain that the league would remove him from the game if he didn’t change the spikes.
