Steve Smith Sr. Shreds Carson Wentz on the Pat McAfee Show

It hasn’t been a good few days for former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. The former MVP candidate choked away a playoff berth, was called out by a Colts legend, not supported by his GM, and now called out by a future hall of famer.

Steve Smith Sr., joined the Pat McAfee Show and the discussion lead to Wentz. Smith said that Wentz is “exactly who he’d love dating his daughter” but not the football player he wants. Yikes!

Colts GM Chris Ballard Doesn’t Endorse Carson Wentz as the Starter

Yikes, things are getting bad in Indianapolis much to the chagrin of many Philadelphia Eagles fans. Carson Wentz’s fall from grace might just be continuing its downward spiral.

Colts GM Chris Ballard was given the opportunity to speak on the Colts season and the starting quarterback. His comments were anything but an endorsement.

Saturday is Gonna be a Disaster at the Soutb Philly Sports Complex

A word of advice if you’re going to the Flyers and/or Eagles game on Saturday night, bring your bourbon, grill, and patience. The Flyers and Eagles are playing at nearly the same time and there will be a ton of restrictions on parking, etc., that could make a normal tailgating/getting to the game experience more difficult.

COVID-19 Outbreaks Hits the NovaCare Complex, “Dozens” of Eagles Players Test Positive

The Philadelphia Eagles have been realitvely lucky when it comes to COVID-19 and the disruption it can cause within a football organization. Well, lady luck just ran out. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo are reporting that “dozens” of Eagles players have tested positive for COVID-19 including Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, and Dallas Goedert. There’s an outside chance that they could return fo Saturday’s game against Dallas.

Pelissero notes that vaccinated players are only tested if they’re symptomatic or volunteer for testing.  The NFL has begun to test more players on Monday’s to allow the 5-day clock to start.  Once a player tests postivie they’re not tested again.  

This could all be null and void, the playoff bound Eagles are in the unique position where they might be able to sit many starters against Dallas.

DeSean Jackson Forced to Change Cleats Honoring John Madden

DeSean Jackson chose a unique set of cleats to honor former Raiders coach John Madden but the NFL fun police wasn’t having anyone of it.

Typical NFL.

Jackson’s cleats had a quote honoring the football legend and we’re in Raiders black and silver. The former All-Pro took to Instagram to explain that the league would remove him from the game if he didn’t change the spikes.
